New England/Canada Cruise ~ Sept '09

I have completed a few pages from our September 2009 New England/Canada Cruise. As I've mentioned before my travel pages are photo intensive though there are some pages with just 6 photos on them this time around. It sure was a great cruise and scrapping these pics brought back some wonderful memories.

Very Merry Tags Cart

I was playing with my new Very Merry Tags cart today trying to figure out the sizing. Here are some of the tags and their sizes. The top tag is done at 3 1/4, the next row are 3 inch, third row are 2 1/2 and the bottom is 2 inch. Amazing differences so I will be doing some more samples before I do any more tags.

~Speed Scrap Time Again~

Okay I didn't feel as much pressure as my first one but I'm still learning. This page will go in my travel album with the pages from my Albuquerque trip. These are the states we passed through to get to our destination and then back home.
The instructions were as follows:

Step 1~ Pick 3 pictures
Step2~ pick 3 papers any combo of patterned and plain is fine
Step 3~ Put one paper as your background and cut the other 2 into long strips one each
Step 4~ Mat your pictures.
Step 5~ Place your pictures going down the middle of your LO. Doesn't have to be directly centered, but they need to go down vertically. Pictures can be different sizes if you want and you can tilt them if you want
Step 6~ Place your strips, one ribbon(sting, ric rac etc) some buttons and flowers clustered under your pictures
Step 7~ Add a title, some journaling and any other elements you think your LO needs.

Speed Scrap ~ August 21, 2009

My very first Speed Scrap, I felt the pressure!!! Seriously, I was sweating!! This is the result for all to see!

Here are the directions:

1- Choose 1 photo where the subject is not looking at the camera but is focused on an object/person/thing that is also in the picture.

2- Choose 5 papers- at least one patterned to be used as your background.

3- Cut 2 skinny strips and 2 thicker strips from the other papers about 10-11" long.

4- Layer the strips behind your photo and frame or mat your picture.

5- Toss in a ribbon of some sort, as well as a staple. Use a button and a tag of some kind, too. If no staples are available, tack the ribbon down with and eyelet or brad.

6- Add a title- at least one word of the title needs to refer to the item/person/thing that the subject of the photo is looking at.

7- Add a date, journaling, and any last minute embellishments.

7th Card Swap

These cards are a couple of swap cards I put together today. They were fun to make! I am participating in three swaps over the next six weeks which was probably a bit much for me since I'm going out of town for several days at the end of the month. Still I enjoy swaps so much I jump at the chance to take part. I generally like pretty simple cards but next time I'll give myself more time to make the cards so I can get more embellishment decorating on them.

Another HELLO Swap Card

Here is another one of my swap cards. I had to put this card together quickly because I ended up being gone out of town longer than I anticipated and these cards needed to be out to their destination. Still I had lots of fun staying up until 1 a.m. last night finishing and packaging them up for the mail.

Swap Cards

These are just a couple of cards I've been working on. I'm just learning to stamp so these are among my first attemps but I'm happy with them. I'm at least encouraged enough to keep trying instead of giving up stamping like I have in the past.
